In 18th century Germany, Count Regula (Christopher Lee) returns to life after being drawn and quartered for murdering twelve virgins in his castle 35 years earlier. His targets are Roger Mont Elise (Lex Barker), the son of the man who convicted him, and Baroness Lilian von Brabant (Karin Dor), the daughter of one of his intended victims. After Count Regula's resurrection, he informs Roger and the Baroness that he needs their blood to achieve immortality.
