In 1983, a family hires a cult deprogrammer to rescue their teenage son from a murderous cult, but things take a deadly turn when the cultists surround their cabin and demand the boy back. A visually striking and moderately original film, "Jackals" is a horror thriller that scrapes by with a passing grade for fans of the genre.
