Ella Enchanted

In the kingdom of Frell, Ella is given the "gift" of obedience by fairy godmother Lucinda Perriweather, causing her to instantly obey any command she is given. Determined to gain control of her life and decisions, Ella sets off on a journey to find her fairy godmother who she hopes will lift the curse. Along the way, she outwits a slew of unpleasant obstacles including ogres, giants, wicked stepsisters, elves, and Prince "Char" Charmont's evil uncle, Edgar. With the help of friends like Slannen, an elf who wants to become a lawyer, and Benny, a magic book brought back to life by household fairy Mandy, Ella must confront her curse and find love with Char in order to break free from her fate.
