Black Widow

A young aspiring writer, Nancy "Nanny" Ordway (Peggy Ann Garner), insinuates herself into the life of a renowned Broadway producer, Peter Denver (Van Heflin). After Nanny's suspicious death at Peter's apartment, suspicion falls on him, but as Lt. Bruce investigates, he uncovers a complex web of connections and motives among Nanny's acquaintances, including a jealous wife, an adulterous husband, and a seemingly innocent stage actress.
