In a world at the brink of the 21st century, photographer Gerard (Paul Trahair) is commissioned by Central, a computer magazine run by a totalitarian future government, to find a new model whose freshness will rejuvenate its pages. Gerard's speciality is images of violent sexuality, often featuring young women in perilous situations. He meets Niki (Kylie Foster), an antique shop girl who brings him a sense of belonging and love, transforming his views on sex and violence.
