Hamlet

A 1990 drama film directed by Franco Zeffirelli and starring Mel Gibson as the titular character, Hamlet is a Shakespearean adaptation that condenses the plot of the original play, omitting certain dialogue and minor characters to fit the average length of a feature film. The film follows Hamlet's quest for revenge against his uncle Claudius, who killed his father to obtain the throne.
