The Art of Racing in the Rain

In Seattle, elderly Golden Retriever Enzo reflects on his life as he nears the end, recalling lessons learned from his human owner, Denny Swift, a professional race car driver. As he has little time left, he hopes to find Denny again in another life, referencing an ancient Mongolian belief about dogs reincarnating into men. Through flashbacks, Enzo recounts his life with Denny and their family, including the birth of Zoë, who he is told must always be protected, and Eve, Denny's wife, whose illness leads to a custody battle over Zoë. As Enzo's health deteriorates, he inspires Denny to fight for custody and eventually finds peace on the track with his beloved owner one last time.
