Hussy

Hussy is a 1980 British film about Beaty Simons (Helen Mirren), a prostitute at a London cabaret, and Emory Cole (John Shea), her lover who works as a sound/lighting technician. Their relationship is complicated by Beaty's job and Emory's dark secret involving his wife's accidental death. A pair of unsavory characters from their pasts arrives, further threatening their love, including Alex Denham (Paul Angelis), Beaty's abusive former lover and pimp, who is released from prison to demand a place to stay with Beaty and her son.
