Hateship Loveship

Kristen Wiig stars as Johanna Parry, a shy caretaker who is unknowingly manipulated into believing she's falling in love with her employer, Ken (Guy Pearce), after being pranked by Sabitha and Edith. The film follows Johanna's life as she navigates her profession and personal desires, as seen through the eyes of a woman dedicated to her work, much like Alice Munro's character in the original short story that inspired it.
