Rootwood follows two podcast hosts, William (Tyler Gallant) and Jessica (Elissa Dowling), as they investigate the urban legend of The Wooden Devil in Rootwood Forest, hoping to gain fame by creating a horror documentary. Alongside their friend Erin (Sarah French), they delve into the darkness of the woods, exploring the area where the curse is said to reside, all while navigating the pressures of Hollywood and their own personal demons.
