When 13-year-old Jacob's delinquent behavior forces Child Protective Services to place his little brother Wes with his aunt, Jacob and his emotionally absent father Hollis Wilson (Aaron Paul) must finally take responsibility for their actions and each other in order to bring Wes home. The film explores themes of responsibility, family, and the complexities of human relationships as Hollis's emotional absence is revealed, while newcomer Josh Wiggins shines as the volatile young boy struggling with his own demons.
