"Hala" is a 2019 American drama film written and directed by Minhal Baig. The film follows Hala Masood (Geraldine Viswanathan), a seventeen-year-old Pakistani American Muslim girl struggling to balance her family's values with her desires as she comes into her own, grappling with a secret that threatens to unravel her family. As Hala navigates her relationships and identity, she learns her parents' marriage has problems she never knew of before.
