The Negotiator

Chicago Police Lieutenant Danny Roman, played by Samuel L. Jackson, is shocked to learn of the murder of his partner and soon discovers that he was investigating a multi-million dollar pension fraud. Taking several people hostage, including Internal Affairs Inspector Terence Niebaum, Danny demands another negotiator, Chris Sabian (Kevin Spacey), be brought in to handle the situation and secretly investigate the conspiracy.
