The Fan

Douglas Breen (Michael Biehn), a deranged young New York City record store clerk, becomes obsessed with Sally Ross (Lauren Bacall) after writing her a rambling letter expressing his desire for her happiness. As Douglas's obsession escalates into violence, he begins stalking Sally, killing those around him, including her maid Elsa and private investigator Jake Berman. Despite the danger, Sally eventually confronts Douglas at the opening night of her stage musical, where she ultimately kills him in self-defense after he breaks down and begs for her love.
