The Commitments

In this 1991 musical comedy-drama film, a young music fanatic named Jimmy Rabbitte assembles a group of working-class youths to form a soul band named "The Commitments" in Northside Dublin. With an unlikely mix of musicians and singers, the band faces hilarious auditions, molding disparate individuals into one cohesive unit. Despite their differences, they convince local venues to book them, but tensions run high among the band members as egos clash and arguments erupt.
