The Lighthouse

In 1890s New England, two lighthouse keepers - Thomas Wake (Willem Dafoe) and Ephraim Winslow (Robert Pattinson) - are stranded on a remote island by a violent storm. As the days pass, Winslow's sanity begins to unravel as he confronts hallucinations of sea monsters, mermaids, and an increasingly sinister Wake, who seems to be hiding secrets of his own. The lines between reality and madness blur in this slow-burning descent into psychological horror, shot in stark black-and-white and evoking the atmospheric mythologies of the sea.
