Suburbia

In the 1983 film "Suburbia", a group of suburban youths, played by Chris Pedersen, Bill Coyne, Timothy Eric O'Brien, Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea, and others, run away from home and adopt a punk lifestyle by squatting in abandoned suburban tract homes. The film's plot concerns the consequences of their choices, including a tragic event that tears the group apart. The story is told through the lens of a woman director, who draws from her own experiences and observations of punk rock culture.
