Dolor y gloria

Salvador Mallo (Antonio Banderas), a filmmaker in the twilight of his career, reflects on his life, including his mother, lovers, and past projects, as he grapples with his mortality and creative crisis. He reminisces about his impoverished childhood, his relationship with his mother, and his struggles with chronic pain and drug abuse. When he reconnects with an old flame, Federico (Leonardo Sbaraglia), and a former lover, Alberto (Asier Etxeandia), Salvador is forced to confront his past and the choices that have defined his life. With the help of his assistant, Mercedes (Nora Navas), Salvador starts to find his way again, both creatively and emotionally.
