Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey

Chance, an immature American Bulldog and the narrator of the film, explains that he is the pet of Jamie Burnford. He shares his home with Shadow, a wise old Golden Retriever owned by Jamie's brother Peter, and Sassy, a pampered Himalayan cat owned by Peter and Jamie's sister Hope. The pets are left at a ranch and then embark on a treacherous journey to find their way back home through the California wilderness. Along the way, they face various obstacles and challenges, including a mountain lion and a river with a treacherous current, but ultimately make their way back to their hometown and are reunited with their owners.
