A Serial Killer's Guide to Life

Lou Farnt, a meek young Englishwoman with poor self-esteem, is emotionally browbeaten by her harsh mother, but finds solace in the teachings of self-help guru Chuck Knoah. After meeting a charismatic woman named Val Stone, who claims to be her perfect match, Lou embarks on a road trip with Val to visit various self-help gurus. However, as they stop at different retreats and workshops, the murders of those they encounter, including a wilderness retreat leader, a couple running a "sonic vibration" retreat, and several others, become increasingly brazen and gruesome. As the bodies pile up, Lou struggles with her own dark impulses and the manipulation of Val, who seems to be leading her further into a world of violence and madness.
