After thirty-one years of marriage, empty nesters Kay and Arnold Soames attend a week-long counseling session to work on their relationship in an effort to reignite the spark that once brought them together. With the guidance of psychiatrist Dr. Bernie Feld, they attempt to articulate their feelings, revitalize their connection, and find the passion that caused them to fall in love in the first place. As they navigate the challenges of aging and growing apart, Kay and Arnold embark on a journey of self-discovery and rediscovery, ultimately leading to a transformation in their relationship.
