The Night Has Eyes

Two young female teachers, Joyce Howard as Marian Ives and Tucker McGuire as Doris, travel to the Yorkshire Moors a year after their friend Evelyn disappeared there. They take refuge in the isolated cottage of Stephen Deremid, played by James Mason, a shell-shocked pianist from the Spanish Civil War. As a violent storm breaks out, Marian's suspicions about Evelyn's fate prompt her to stay on, while Doris flees, but Marian is torn between her love for Stephen and her growing suspicion that he may be connected to Evelyn's disappearance.
