High school sophomores Jack Malloy and Ellie O'Brien, played by Jacob Bertrand and Peyton List, respectively, are both going through tough times. Jack's family life is strained after his mother's death, while Ellie deals with her dad's abandonment and a new friend's betrayal. When they swap bodies via a text message, they must navigate each other's lives while trying to find a way to switch back.
