Hotel Rwanda

In 1994, Rwanda is engulfed in a civil war between the Hutu-controlled government and Tutsi rebels, with Hutu extremist voices framing the Tutsis as an infestation. Paul Rusesabagina, a hotel owner in Kigali, takes drastic action to save the lives of over 1,500 refugees by providing them with shelter in his besieged hotel, the Hôtel des Mille Collines. As the situation becomes increasingly violent, Paul must navigate a delicate tightrope between saving his own family and those of others, all while confronting corruption, violence, and genocide.
