In the Danish black comedy film "The Green Butchers" (2003), Nikolaj Lie Kaas stars as Bjarne and Mads Mikkelsen as Svend, two butchers who start their own shop to escape their arrogant boss. After a series of unfortunate events, including the reappearance of Bjarne's intellectually disabled twin brother Eigil (also played by Lie Kaas), the shop becomes a surprising success due to a popular human flesh product. As the story unfolds, Bjarne grows tired of Eigil's visits, while Svend's past traumas and relationships come to the surface, leading to a darkly comedic exploration of mortality, family, and the human condition.
