The Trouble with Spies

In the 1987 spy comedy film "The Trouble with Spies," Donald Sutherland plays Appleton Porter, a bumbling spy sent to investigate the disappearance of British spy George Trent, who has gone incommunicado on the island of Ibiza. Porter settles into a small hotel, where he encounters a cast of colorful guests, including Ruth Gordon as Mrs. Arkwright and Lucy Gutteridge as Mona. As Porter attempts to uncover the truth about Trent's disappearance, he narrowly escapes several attempts on his life, thanks largely to dumb luck.
