Battle Circus

Lt. Ruth McGara (June Allyson), a young and ambitious Army nurse, arrives at the 8666th MASH unit in South Korea, where she attracts the attention of Dr. Jed Webbe (Humphrey Bogart), the unit's commander and a surgeon with a drinking problem. Despite their initial reluctance, their love flourishes against the backdrop of war, enemy attacks, and death. As they navigate their relationship, Ruth's personal mission to serve suffering humanity is put to the test, and Jed's leadership is called into question.
