Pan deng zhe

The Climbers is a 2019 Chinese adventure drama film that tells the true story of two generations of Chinese mountaineers attempting to ascend Mount Everest from the perilous north side in 1960 and 1975. Wu Jing stars as Fang Wuzhou, a team leader who must make a critical decision to save his teammate during the first attempt, while Zhang Ziyi plays Xu Ying, a meteorology student who supports the team's second attempt. The film follows the team's subsequent ascents, including Yang Guang's (Hu Ge) heroic sacrifice, and the climactic moment where the team reaches the summit, only to be denied recognition by the global mountaineering community.
