Rock Rock Rock!

Teenage Dori (Tuesday Weld) wants to buy a strapless evening gown for the prom, but her father closes their charge account, forcing her to come up with the money on her own. Determined, Dori borrows from her friend Arabella and later convinces both their fathers to let her take a more expensive dress. Meanwhile, Dori's crush Tommy Rogers (Teddy Randazzo) wins a talent contest sponsored by Alan Freed (Alan Freed), but things get complicated when a rival, Gloria Barker (Fran Manfred), also tries to impress him.
