Badlands

In 1959, a 15-year-old girl named Holly Sargis (Sissy Spacek) narrates the film from her perspective, recounting the events that led her to commit a killing spree with her older boyfriend Kit Carruthers (Martin Sheen). The story follows Kit, a 25-year-old garbage collector and troubled veteran, and Holly, who becomes infatuated with him after meeting him in their dead-end South Dakota town. After Kit charms Holly, they embark on a violent and destructive road trip, killing anyone who gets in their way. As they flee the law, Holly eventually grows tired of Kit and turns herself in, but Kit's crimes ultimately lead to his execution.
