Cheech and Chong's "Nice Dreams" follows the duo as they sell "Happy Herb's Nice Dreams" ice cream, making a fortune on high-grade marijuana stolen from their friend. With their newfound wealth, they plan to become "Sun Kings in Paradise" but things quickly go awry. Cheech reunites with his ex-girlfriend Donna, while Chong gets into trouble when he unwittingly exchanges their money for a worthless bank check. The pair must escape into an insane asylum to retrieve their cash, all while evading the Drug Enforcement Administration led by Sergeant Stedanko. Along the way, they encounter a mental patient, a cocaine-snorting biker, and other wacky characters.
