Escape from Pretoria

In 1978, Tim Jenkin (Daniel Radcliffe) and Stephen Lee (Daniel Webber), two white South Africans, are arrested for their anti-apartheid activism and sentenced to prison. Inside Pretoria Prison, they meet Denis Goldberg (Ian Hart), a seasoned political prisoner, who discourages them from trying to escape. With the help of Leonard Fontaine (Mark Leonard Winter), Jenkin sets a plan in motion to escape, gathering keys, hiding in closets, and using chisels to break open doors. Ultimately, the three men successfully escape the prison, evading capture, and continue their fight against apartheid, with Goldberg eventually being pardoned in 1991 and apartheid ending in 1992.
