Adults in the Room

"Adults in the Room" follows Minister of Finance Yanis Varoufakis (Christos Loulis) as he navigates the complex web of power in the Eurogroup meetings, tasked with negotiating a new deal for Greece. The film depicts the brutal circle of negotiations, where Varoufakis' proposals are met with refusal, and he is eventually forced to resign. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras (Alexandros Bourdoumis) is pressured to sign the memorandum of understanding, despite the wishes of the Greek people. The movie explores the human cost of the austerity measures imposed by the European institution.
