A policeman, Jong-goo (Kwak Do-won), investigates a series of mysterious killings and illnesses in a remote Korean village, including his daughter's (Kim Hwan-hee) sudden and terrifying transformation. With the help of a local hunter, a shaman named Il-gwang (Hwang Jung-min), and a mysterious young woman named Moo-myeong (Chun Woo-hee), Jong-goo delves into the heart of a supernatural mystery that threatens to consume the village.
