Terror in the Family

Deena Marten, a 15-year-old high school student, lives with her parents, Cynthia and Todd, and her 13-year-old brother Adam. Deena's rebellious temperament and violent outbursts, including hitting her mother Cynthia, cause concern for her parents. Her mother, Cynthia, struggles with her own dysfunctional relationship with her mother and her drinking problem, while her father, Todd, is distant and prefers his work to spending time with his family. As Deena's behavior worsens, her parents try to intervene, but they are ineffectual, leading to Deena running away with her boyfriend Garret.
