Romeo + Juliet

In this contemporary take on William Shakespeare's classic tragedy, the Montagues and Capulets have moved their ongoing feud to the sweltering suburb of Verona Beach, where Romeo and Juliet fall in love and secretly wed. They learn of their families' animosity and meet at a party, where Romeo takes ecstasy and meets Juliet, sparking an instant love. The two secretly marry, but their happiness is short-lived as Tybalt, Juliet's cousin, fatally wounds Mercutio, leading to a chain of tragic events. Romeo ultimately kills Tybalt, is banished, and Juliet fakes her own death to be with him, but the plan goes awry, and both die in each other's arms.
