In 1967, "Oi voskoi" (Les Pâtres du désordre) brings to life the struggles of an impoverished Greek woman, Katina, as she tries to arrange the marriage of her shepherd son, Thanos, to Despina, the daughter of a wealthy landowner. Despina, played by Olga Karlatos, is initially resistant to the idea, but Thanos, played by George Dialegmenos, eventually convinces her to join him in his rebellion against their society. The film, directed by Nikos Papatakis, delves into themes of arranged marriage, rebellion, and social class, set against the backdrop of rural Greece.
