High school senior Samantha Hodges, played by Kennedy Lea Slocum, is a serious journalist and devoted friend who finds her reporting taking an investigative turn when two of her classmates are murdered. As she delves deeper, she teams up with her friend Nate, played by Corey Fogelmanis, to uncover the truth behind the deaths, suspecting that the motive lies behind the scholarship that the school awards. With her mother Emily, played by Sheryl Lee, and friends Gillian, Rudy, and Brittany, all vying for the scholarship, Samantha's investigation puts her at the center of a sinister web of secrets and lies.
