Yunpeng (Yang Fang) and his servant, Da Huo Zi (Ko Hsiao-Pao), stay at a country inn one dark evening to escape potential robbers and ghosts. However, Yunpeng stumbles upon the beautiful Anu (Margaret Hsing Hui) naked in bed, leading him to marry her to atone for his rudeness. As Anu is introduced to Yunpeng's aunts and uncles, they suspect her to be a spirit from the netherworld due to her ghastly green glow, potentially sparking revenge on Yunpeng's in-laws.
