A deaf-mute man, Ryu, and his radical anarchist girlfriend, Yeong-mi, resort to desperate measures to fund a kidney transplant for his sister, leading to a cycle of violence and revenge. Ryu, played by Shin Ha-kyun, loses his job and contacts black market organ dealers, but they disappear after taking his kidney and severance money. Yeong-mi suggests kidnapping the daughter of a wealthy executive, Park Dong-jin, played by Song Kang-ho, which goes horribly wrong. Ryu and Yeong-mi treat Dong-jin's daughter, Yu-sun, with kindness, but she dies under mysterious circumstances, setting off a chain of violent retribution.
