Sonachine

In this 1993 Japanese yakuza film, Takeshi Kitano stars as Aniki Murakawa, an aging Tokyo yakuza sent to Okinawa to mediate a dispute between two warring clans. There, he finds the situation insignificant and is ambushed, leading his group to lay low at a beach house. As they try to escape their past, Murakawa engages in playful games and pranks with his companions, but their carefree moments are often marked by violence. Ultimately, Murakawa sets off to take revenge on those who sent him on a suicidal mission, leading to a tragic confrontation that ends his life.
