A man, Martin Karow (Paul Kalkbrenner), a techno DJ and producer, is admitted to a psychiatric clinic after overdosing on ecstasy at a gig. His girlfriend, Mathilde, and manager try to help him recover, but he struggles with drug abuse and creativity. Meanwhile, he meets other patients, including Crystal Pete, and begins working on a new album, despite Dr. Paul's recommendations to take a break from music.
