Inspector Amaia Salazar (Marta Etura) must return to the Baztán valley to investigate a series of suicides that seem to follow a similar pattern, linked to a serial killer known as "Tartalo." As she delves deeper, she uncovers a dark family secret and confronts her mentally ill and disturbed mother, Rosario, who is connected to a pagan cult that includes human sacrifices. The investigation leads Amaia to question her own identity and the truth about her twin sister, whom she never knew existed, and ultimately forces her to face her mother's sinister intentions.
