Leslie Cheung and Tony Leung Chiu-wai star as Ho Po-Wing and Lai Yiu-Fai, a gay couple from Hong Kong, who travel to Argentina to revive their relationship but face turbulence when their lives drift in separate directions. The couple's argument and subsequent separation lead to both men finding new, positive meanings in their lives, but neither can go back or return to their former life together. Chang Chen plays a role as Chang, a Taiwanese co-worker whom Fai befriends at a Chinese restaurant in Buenos Aires.
