En man som heter Ove

A 59-year-old widower, grumpy Ove, continues to watch over his neighborhood with an iron fist after the death of his wife. When pregnant Parvaneh and her family move in opposite him, he's forced to confront his tough exterior, caused by his childhood experiences, including losing his father in a train accident and building a wheelchair ramp for his paraplegic friend Sonja. As Ove drifts into unconsciousness during a suicide attempt, memories flood back, and he starts to form unexpected bonds with Parvaneh and her family, including her daughters, who affectionately call him grandpa.
