Tasya Vos, an assassin played by Andrea Riseborough, uses brain-implant technology to take control of other people's bodies to terminate high-profile targets. As she sinks deeper into her latest assignment, Vos becomes trapped inside a mind that threatens to obliterate her. Her struggles with neurological symptoms and increasing detachment from her own identity put her domestic life at risk, particularly with her husband and son. Vos's handler, Girder, played by Jennifer Jason Leigh, criticizes her desire to remain connected to her family, but ultimately, Vos's own mental state and fatigue lead to a tragic confrontation that forces her to confront her true nature.
