Cike Nie Yinniang

The Assassin is a 2015 wuxia film set in 9th century China, loosely based on the 9th-century Chinese short story "Nie Yinniang" by Pei Xing. The film centers on Nie Yinniang, an exceptional assassin directed by her master, Jiaxin, to eliminate corrupt government officials, including her cousin Tian Ji'an, with whom she was betrothed as a child. Shu Qi plays Nie Yinniang, while Chang Chen stars as her cousin Tian Ji'an.
