In 1985, a babysitter named Megan discovers a creature feeding on a young girl in the basement of the Gambel's home, but she is killed by the father, Mr. Gambel, who tries to cover up the incident. Years later, Ben Shaw lands a job at the marina and becomes friends with Mallory, but his life is disrupted when he discovers his neighbor, Abbie, has become possessed by an ancient witch. As the witch's power grows, Ben must confront his own fears and team up with his friends and family to rescue his siblings from the clutches of the malevolent entity.
