In "Junior," Austrian research geneticist Dr. Alex Hesse (Arnold Schwarzenegger) undergoes a male pregnancy from a newly developed drug Expectane to test its efficacy, believing he will only carry the baby for three months. As weeks go by, he complains of morning sickness and develops a relationship with British cryogenics expert Dr. Diana Reddin (Emma Thompson). The experiment's outcome is shocking, leading to a media frenzy and a dramatic turn of events as Alex experiences abdominal pain from labor, calling for his colleague Dr. Larry Arbogast (Danny DeVito), who helps him deliver a healthy baby girl, whom they name Junior.
