Every 9 Seconds

Gail O'Grady stars as Janet, a distraught young mother, in the 1997 TV film "Every 9 Seconds". The film follows Carrie Breiter (Amy Pietz), a journalist who goes undercover as a crisis line worker, as she tries to intervene and save Janet from her menacing ex-husband, Richard Sutherland (Christopher Meloni). The movie, which debuted on NBC in October 1997, occasionally re-airs on Lifetime and its sister channel Lifetime Movie Network, coinciding with National Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
